In the meantime, here are some possibilities:
1. Head louse
A tiny, crawling insect that lives on the scalp and feeds on blood. It can cause itching.
2. Lice egg (nit)
A tiny oval speck attached firmly to a hair shaft. It does not crawl.
3. Flea or another small insect
Less typical in human scalp hair. A close-up photo can help distinguish it.
Two quick questions:
-
Was the bug moving or crawling?
-
What color was it — black, brown, white, or reddish?
Upload a photo if possible, and I’ll help narrow it down.
